The Trail of Barbecue is Hogs for the Cause’s growing network of restaurants across the country lending their kitchens, their fans, and their platforms to the fight against pediatric brain cancer. Usually we’re writing to introduce a new stop. This one’s different — Fox Bros BBQ has been walking this road with us for years, and this September they’re giving us one more reason to talk about them.
The Taquito for the Cause
All September, at every Fox Bros BBQ location, they’re serving the Smoked Pork and Hatch Green Chile Taquito — Fox Bros BBQ smoked pork tossed in a salsa verde with Oaxaca cheese and Hatch green chiles, rolled in a flour tortilla and fried crispy, then finished with a creamy salsa verde and pico de gallo. It’s $9, and 50% of every sale is donated to Hogs for the Cause, benefiting families with children battling pediatric brain cancer.

Why Fox Bros BBQ Matters to Us
Jonathan and Justin Fox were one of the first major barbecue outfits to throw their support behind Hogs, back when we were a much smaller thing than we are now. That early belief mattered. Since then they’ve driven over $1 million in supporting pediatric cancer care across the Atlanta metro area, and the results have names and addresses:
- $800,000 to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for pediatric oncology patient care. In honor of the donation, a Celebration Area at CHOA was established in Team Foxeria del Sol’s name.
- $75,000 to CHOA Scottish Rite, supporting the pediatric cancer outreach program.
- $50,000 to the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center at CHOA, funding the Fox Bros BBQ / Taqueria del Sol Patient Room.
A celebration area. An outreach program. A room where a family gets to be a family for a minute. That’s what barbecue built.
