Stack City BBQ is joining the Trail of Barbecue — Hogs for the Cause’s growing network of restaurants across the country lending their kitchens, their fans, and their platforms to the fight against pediatric brain cancer. And this one comes with a soundtrack.
For 20 years, Stack City has been serving up authentic Austin barbecue on Research Blvd — central Texas post-oak blended with pecan for that traditional flavor, delivered with a whole lot of energy. This is BBQ with a rhythm: piled-high sandwiches, nachos that get named among the best in the country, ribs off the smoker, and beer and pitmaster slushies to wash it all down, all while the speakers keep the room feeling like the best backyard cookout you’ve ever been invited to. It’s a formula that has pulled in Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Man v. Food, the Travel Channel, and Texas Monthly.
Joining the Trail is personal for the Mark at Stack City. He lost his mom to lung cancer this year, and helping people — especially kids — was what she cared about most. The jar at the register carries that forward.
